Hatte sich Counterflys letzte Broque-EP schon durch einen sehr eklektischen Crossover-Sound zwischen Club, Beatakrobatik und Home Listening ausgezeichnet, setzt sein neuer Track \u201eThe Only Land Where\u201c noch einen drauf und f\u00fcgt Lorenzo Olivieris Sound noch eine neue und ausgesprochen poppige Attit\u00fcde hinzu. Auf eine sehr unaufgeregte Art schwebt die Mischung aus verspielten Melodien, Cut-Up Vocals und bouncenden Basslines \u00fcber eine sehr britisch anmutende Tanzfl\u00e4che und erinnert dabei an die Dancefloor-affineren und zugleich poppigeren St\u00fccke von Mount Kimbie oder Four Tet. Das Ganze strahlt dabei eine so reife Selbstverst\u00e4ndlichkeit aus, dass man kaum glauben mag, dass Lorenzo nur halb so alt ist, wie einige andere Artists im Broque Roster. Aus genau diesem kommt auch unser langj\u00e4hriger Wegbegleiter Alec Troniq, der dem St\u00fcck mit seinem Remix eine marschierende Bassdrum und etwas mehr Geradlinigkeit verordnet und damit die Weichen mehr in Richtung Club- als Popappeal stellt. \u201eThe Only Land Where\u201c sollte mit seinem \u00e4u\u00dferst erwachsenen Sound an der Schnittstelle von Song und Club eine breite H\u00f6rerschaft f\u00fcr Lorenzo erschlie\u00dfen und macht schon jetzt gespannt darauf, was wir noch alles von diesem jungen K\u00fcnstler erwarten k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n
