Blondo Connolly hatte bereits in den fr\u00fchen 80ern Giorgio Moroder fest im Blick, Patrick Cowley im Kassettendeck und den obligatorischen Kamm in der Hosentasche, und machte so an der italienischen Adriak\u00fcste die Nacht zum Tage. Durch legend\u00e4re Sets im Mon Amour, Altromondo oder dem Coconut wurde er zur gefeierten regionalen Ikone, der der internationale Durchbruch stets weniger wichtig war, als entr\u00fcckte Gesichter und Herzen auf dem Dancefloor mit dem richtigen Sound zur Ekstase zu bringen. Mit seinen Tracks zwischen New Wave, balearischer Italo-Disco und vertr\u00e4umter Synth-Romantik stellt er die Weichen f\u00fcr den Summer of Love und die Clubmusik der vergangenen Dekaden und spielte sich in die Herzen all jener, f\u00fcr die Disco, gro\u00dfe Gef\u00fchle und progressiver Clubsound die T\u00fcren zu einer ganz neuen Form eskapistischer Cluberfahrung \u00f6ffneten, in der man sich vollends verlieren konnte. Dass sich in Blondo ein stets untersch\u00e4tztes Genie gefunden hat, stellen die Lost Rimini-Tapes einmal mehr unter Beweis, entpuppt er sich hier doch auch als early Adopter der 303, die sich so nonchalant in seine gef\u00fchlvollen Arrangements einschmiegt, dass man sich schon die berechtigte Frage stellen kann, ob wir uns all das vielleicht nur ausgedacht haben und am Ende vielleicht die einfach nur die Leidenschaft eines alten Broque-Weggef\u00e4hrten f\u00fcr wavigen Italosound hinter all dem steckt. Das spielt aber im Grunde auch keine Rolle, solange die Lost Rimini-Tapes so empathisch die Legende von Blondo Connolly und den fr\u00fchen Italosound der 80er feiern, dass wir uns direkt ins Golf Cabrio setzen und dem Sonnenuntergang entgegenfahren wollen.\n<\/p>\n
