„Oldschool, Baby“, so oder ähnlich könnte man das Motto der Broque Summer Jams zusammenfassen, bei denen die erweiterte Broque Familie alljährlich im Juni für ein paar Tage die Uhr zurückdreht und aus allen Winkeln Deutschlands (und darüber hinaus) zusammenkommt, um gemeinsam den Spirit früher Tage hochleben zu lassen. Ucleden und Freunde setzen dem bunten Treiben mit seiner Summer Jam EP nun auch ein wohlverdientes Denkmal, dass den Geist der Summer Jams wunderbar in verheissungsvoll geschichtsbewussten Tracks zusammenfasst. Die Detroit’sche Verträumtheit des Ausgangstracks wird von Tim Susa und Cie aufgegriffen und fortgesponnen, während Juno6 sich auf die elementaren Grundpfeiler von Clubmusik besinnt und DML mit Früh-90er Bleeps und Breaks die Überraschung dieser EP abliefert, und schüchtern aber bestimmt mit nerdig verhaltener Happy Hardcore-Euphorie um die Ecke kommt. Dem lässt sich einfach nichts mehr hinzufügen, außer in Vorfreude auf das nächste Familientreffen zu harren. Und wie immer gilt: wer sich erinnern kann, war nicht dabei.
