Broque’s latest discovery goes by the name of Jérôme Fouqueray, obviously is from France, and (heads-up: stereotype alert!) as such was inspired strongly by the legends of French electronic music. While Jean Michel Jarre and Jérôme’s Casio keyboard were the key sources of inspiration at the age of seven, they were replaced soon by the likes of Laurent Garnier or Agoria. Rooted in his DJ-ing experiences, one can hear very well in his tracks that he has a thing for classic Techno and likes to reprocess his personal history of Techno. Similar to his tracks for Cascabel or Verboten (both from France), his new EP for Broque “Without Understanding” is grounded in the heart of the Techno universe and wallows in darkly oscillating tales of nights on the dancefloor (“Without Understanding”, “Cold Wonderment”), while “Légère Addiction“ feasts on old memories of endorphin-soaked sun rises at after hours of the past. Juno 6 and Alec Troniq rework the tracks in their very own style and close this well-balanced and inspiring EP on Broque.

PhonyPinch, Peedge & Less, that’s a triple of Stefans (Stefan Pietsch, Stephan Sander and Stefan Leßner), or a “Trifan” so to speak. But these guys have more in common than just their first name. For instance, they share the same socialisation within the techno microcosm of Thuringia, in between dark basement clubs and airy outdoor after hours in the green Thuringian forest. Their previous EPs on labels such as Enliven, Finebeatz or Pour le Mérite were all well attached to their Thuringian roots. While Broque is run by exiled Thuringians as well, we are now even more proud to be able to present their new EP “Trifan” now filled with five dreamy and often melodic techno tracks. While “Open New Doors” and “Got No Clue” cover the more strings-driven and athmospheric yet sunny part, the marching beats and dark-industrial vibe of “Electric Junkie” or „Cérise“ play with the more maniac and gloomy side of the trio and lead the path back to the Thuringian basement clubs, where the musical journey of the three once started.

some feedbacks:
Dave Martin Very nice. Interesting rhythms and some unusual arrangement. Thanks DxM – Atomic Jam I absolutely love this, strange and funky as hell. Wicked! – Clubbed up Some nice grooves here, deep and cool! Support from me – Tim Green (Dirtybird/Cocoon/Get Physical) awesome music! love williwaw and doldrums. not sure if they fit into my sets, but will definitely try! – Derek Taylor (Tilllate Magazine) Wasn’t into most of this but the two stand out tracks for me were Sahel and Brisa (feat. da face). Nice techno progressive cross cheers derek – Bass music blog sounds absolutely superb. definitely grabbing this for an in-depth listen asap – Micropunto not for me thanks – paris-one.com Very emotional and highly personal indeed, and very powerful too! – Swoon/ pastlessonfuturetheories blog Like Willwaw and Farou best. Will play Farou on radio, it’s very inventive. - Diversions on chry105.5fm enjoyed the delicate textures and intricate grooves presented here – WILIWAW is my fave! – Electronique.it Excellent album and really original. ‘Farou’, ‘Dimmerfoehn’ and ‘Brisa’ are the tracks I love and confirm their airplays. – Sid Le Rock, s.thompson personal touch…all fresh to my ears – Radio Quintessenz Wow – powerful! – Fredrik Nyberg (Trunkfunk) good vibes here. thanks a lot! – Radio Suisse (dimitri (Radio Suisse)) interesting work ! Fettes ehrliches Danke für diese Musi :-) – Garnica (Trenton, Radio LAE) ‘doldrums’ & ‘farou’ for me! – DR Radio HIGH quality productions and soundscapes, plus a lovely deep vibe all the way through. FAV! – DJ Montana (Club Basement.net ) (Sputnik) Average – TopDJ.ua / Kiss FM Ukraine Sahel is fantastic! MY fav here! Will support and present in my show. Thanks! – Allez Allez Blog Great arrangement, great sounds, great tunes. Serious impressive ep. thanks – Luciano Sambati (Fabric London) Weird but interesting – Chris Finke I absolutely love this, strange and funky as hell. Wicked! – DJ Hal (EQ Magazine) good selecetion – Per Bojsen – Moller (Little White Earbuds) Excellent ideas here, and the execution is on point. Very strong throughout. – Machines Are Funky Blog (Resident Advisor) Some very competent stuff here, although it’s a bit hit and miss for me personally. – Stuart Millar brisa is my fav thanks – Nic Fanciulli Downloaded – Mitch Davis (Beats and Beyond) Great vibe to this album. Doldrums is particularly superb. 9/10 – Blind Spot on 103.2 Preston FM* nice one, thanks – Jamie Anderson farou is really nice – all really good! – Sam Allman (FWD) some pretty nice tracks on here – Gary Beck loving this – Noice Podcast Series not really my cup of tea – Piratecat / Gridlock 8 tracks with something for all tastes! – CGNY Doldrums is wonderful – very dance-y but really good to just chill and listen… – Ambivalent (Minus) There is a lot of beautiful music on this release. - WOMR College Radio / BLN.FM brisa and sahel are my favs. – Audio Injection (Audio Injection & Drumcell/Droid Recordings) interesting tracks…probably nothing very playable for me but good listening! – Tony Rohr (Clink, Weave) (John Selway & Tony Rohr/Tony Rohr) It’s refreshing to hear that someone is actually moving their sound forward in techno rather than re-hashing the past. It’s not my ‘sound’ that I would normally play, but it’s an inspiration and should serve a such to others as well. 5 stars!!! – (Subdivisions Radio Show – Digitally Imported Radio) Love the restrained fleamenco groove of “doldroms”, the deep grooving “Willwaw” – Solid EP - Maetrik / Maceo Plex (Mothership, Dumb Unit, Crosstown Rebels, Treibstoff) Nice music . Pure Class– - DSinc Radio very new scene kind of pieces – Radio Beton Rather good release. I will play “Farou” !!! – MCD magazine / WTM radio show hello again – Liability Webzine Good stuff – Teknobrat / Ottawa Radio Show Really like track 3 Williwaw, even dough this a more chill production, it is very rich in landscapes has a very happy but somewhat magical almost Alice in Wonderland kind of feel. I rate this release 6 on 10 Peace Out Teknobrat… – BOUM! TCHAK! on CIBL 101.5 FM Radio Montréal Beautiful! – Nino (Altroverso) airplay in altroverso – Different Grooves really xperimental stuff, deep listening! – Ignacio Cantisano Great sound! Warm and different… - Tim Thaler (3headz) for radio play, thanks. – Jeremy P. Caulfield really like Brisa .. i will play it for the right ladies .. - Radio-e-volution Interesting and deep album. Like it! – Berlin Mitte Institut Has its good moments and special sounds, but lacks of consistency. – Big Bully (Mineral) love dddrums.. nice release – Tobias “Tobey” nice album. gonna play it! – Four to the Floor (Radio 98eins) doldrums , farou, dimmerfoehn und sahel sind meine favoriten. alles in allem also ein sehr gelungenes album. ich werds im radio vorstellen. – NB Radiotreff “Scheuern” Energetic EP! With fantastic dynamic and melodic tracks like “Williwaw” or relaxed listenings like dimmerfoehn. – Richie Hawtin (Minus) downloaded for r hawtin – Markus Kavka (MTV Europe) ganz wunderbares, atmosphärisches album mit tollen sounds und grooves. sehr smart und dabei doch mit ganz viel herz. toll! – Metope (Areal, IRR, Beachcoma) (Metope) I like this very much. – Mikael Stavöstrand (Thema/Sunset Diskos) love it .. will play .. - Marc Lansley (Raveline/Sub Static) “Farou” is pure bliss. A jewel for my neckline. – Stephan Bodzin (Systematic) great album. love it. - Cio D’Or (Prologue) Doldrums & Dimmerfoehn are very beautiful! Thanks! - Sonja (Hexadance) insane beauty – love it! – Switch / Studio Brussel Doldrums and Farou stand out but overall quality is outstanding – Cian Ó Cíobháin (An Taobh Tuathail – RTE RnaG radio, Ireland) Sounds like there’s a lot of care bestowed upon these sounds, especially Doldrums. – XFM Dublin / No Territory Show doldrums is really nice off this… electronic edge coupled with classic acoustics! a nice worldly package overall! nice work! thanks! – Ellesmere Dave too arty for club play but really nice home listening … – Estroe ( Connaisseur Recordings, Mezzotinto ) I really like Farou, Dimmerfoehn and brisa a lot, thanks (the way Tony Rohr describes is exactly how I feel about it too) – Heike Reich (Bayerischer Rundfunk) Tolles album, bin hinterher dass das hier eingesetzt wird. – Himan i just love the album. its really good – AIKOON Sehr gefühlvoll produziert mit viel liebe zum detail!! ” Sahel” is da dann schon die ausnahme!! Danke für Musik dieser Art. very very very very very very large Greetz – Alex Kork great album, nice melodies, hamonies and athmospheres. – GIZEH Broque is’ ja nicht schlecht, man! Ein wirklich gelungener erster Longplayer! Meinen Respekt! Well done Alec! A great LP-Debut! y favourite tunes are “williwaw (feat. – Alver Linnamägi Yay.Ive been listening to your album for a while now and in it I have found a new type of music for myself. I like the way you use samples and I dont think Ive heard it a lot before. I think it is the use of instrumentalism that makes the album sound experimental, which is one of the traits about music I really do enjoy. After all I am a person most keen on Aphex Twin, Animal Collective, Vector Lovers etc. Ill definetely give you a thumbs up and I am glad to have associated my photo with something like youve made. Ich schwebe immernoch ;o) – The Advent (Kombination Research/Labyrinth) Doldrums is my fav.. - Roko (Sub.fm/B.O.M.B.) soundin like very nice music all around, gonna have to check this in full to give proper comments! – Slam (Soma Records) much deepness and groovyness – digging – Presuming Ed (Be At TV) Doldrums is cool- defo use for the wee small hours – Dean Facer (Our House Magazine) beautiful production….. “Farou” & “Brisa” stand out for me !! – James Vorres (Juno) Very enjoyable! - Dustin Zahn (Enemy Records) its good to see an ep with total disregard for the trends. I like doldrums! – Gradient Magazine There’s really nothing else to say but a really well produced album – great music! – Vidal (Acid Circus/Droid Recordings) interesting stuff. n aschi will give airplay. – Sebastian Roya (Connaisseur) Awesome!! - Pig & Dan (Cocoon) Nice grooves and sounds for m broque as usual – DJ Fra (Nitsa) beautiful. Doldrums is outstanding – Angel Molina ( Sonar / Tresor ) even this is not the really for me, ‘doldrums’ is the one here. – Benoît Carretier (Tsugi) nice sounding – Anthony Collins (Curle, Mule, Vakant) track n°1 is super cool – Patrick Bateman (Tic Tac Toe / Connect Four) not for me.. – Arnaud Le Texier dddrums is my favorite nice deep work… – The-Zone.it NICE EP! – Joseph Capriati (ANALYTICTRAIL,FRANKIE,CMYK,LOOSE,MINIBUS) nice release, not 100% but good. – DJ Nori (Posivision) Super!! nice soft grooove with deepness. Sahel is awesome, killa. - Piotr Nowicki (Laif/Creamfields Poland/Clubber.pl) Farou, Doldrums are among my favourites! - Bleed (De:Bug) review to follow – Raveline Williwaw ist my fave on the EP. – Tobias Staab (Groove Magazine) beautifully arranged fragments. very unique sounds. each track a new world to explore. the whole release works perfectly. – Joel Alter (Room With A View/Sweatshop) Thanks, but not for me. – DJ MPLeary (Raveline) not for me… – Butane (Alphahouse/Butane + Someone Else/Crosstown Rebels) lovely music – Timo Maas (Cocoon Recordings) some very cool tracks here, good vibes – Tim Schäfer (Zitty/030 Magazin) thx – Radio Z nice sounds & vocals, but sometimes bit too much soundmixture for me – Toni Rios sorry, nothing for me. – Northern Rivers Echo / The Indoor Sessions thatsa nicea – teknology.free.fr/ radioshow Broque is definitely a unique label. – psycoded nice one. very deep and chilled stuff. get prepared for the so called “winter”. will play this stuff for shure! ;) – Tobias Henecker (ZYX) sehr gutes album! I have to tell you that i absolutely love it ALL track on it. Thanks, will try them this weekend on the dancefloore. – Ron Flatter full support !!! ) – Andreas Brunner coole verspielte, ideenreiche tracks angereichert mit gefühlvollen melodien und fetzigen grooves ;) top – Homme Studio Superb album, very experimental, it changes. Several tracks will be in my next chart. Full Support – Giash LOVELY! I cannot say anything! Absolutely LOVEIT! – Haelan Cholie (Beatboutique) geiles album! – Terrik Mode (vektonmusik, vee) very nice album alec, a lot of inspiration in your tracks… like the small things and the melodies… hugs – Carsten Rechenberger woohoo. real hard to say what is best here…just a massive round package with his unbeatable &unique style…..My Pearl, you are the real real best !!!! – SQware Awesome LP! Very organic vibrations. Doldrums & Brisa are my favorites, with their minimal-to-melodic flavours… Something between electronica, micro-house and deep techno that grooves and takes me high.

Nope, Alec Troniq certainly isn’t a noname anymore. Even though he is travelling under plenty of alter egos across the world, his emotionally loaded dancefloor project Alec Troniq most probably is the most significant. While his tracks usually are released on his very own label Ipoly Music, Etui Rec.or Microtonal, we are now both very glad and proud that Troniq releases his first Album on Broque.de. Though, it is just about wind. But not at all hot air. More about powerful blasts and gentle breezes. About flying thoughts and respect for the invisible but sensible things in life. And, of course, about music.

some feedbacks:
– Diversions on chry105.5fm enjoyed the delicate textures and intricate grooves presented here – WILIWAW is my fave! It’s not my ‘sound’ that I would normally play, but it’s an inspiration and should serve a such to others as well. 5 stars!!! – (Subdivisions Radio Show – Digitally Imported Radio) Love the restrained fleamenco groove of “doldroms”, the deep grooving “Willwaw” – Solid EP – Maetrik / Maceo Plex (Mothership, Dumb Unit, Crosstown Rebels, Treibstoff) Nice music . I like Wiliwaw – Alland Byallo (Nightlight Music) This is a very unique, creative and inspirational album. – Dubfire downloaded for dubfire. – Docepulgadas nice sounds…excellent rhythm…williwaw rules! – Dosem Thank you, very interesting beat programming – Lenny Ibizarre (DJ Awards) Good – Laurent Garnier deep musical techno drops .. Pure Class– – DSinc Radio very new scene kind of pieces – Radio Beton Rather good release. Warm and different… – Tim Thaler (3headz) for radio play, thanks. – Jeremy P. Caulfield really like Brisa .. i will play it for the right ladies .. – Radio-e-volution Interesting and deep album. Like it! – Berlin Mitte Institut Has its good moments and special sounds, but lacks of consistency. – Big Bully (Mineral) love dddrums.. nice release – Tobias “Tobey” nice album. gonna play it! – Four to the Floor (Radio 98eins) doldrums , farou, dimmerfoehn und sahel sind meine favoriten. alles in allem also ein sehr gelungenes album. ich werds im radio vorstellen. – NB Radiotreff “Scheuern” Energetic EP! With fantastic dynamic and melodic tracks like “Williwaw” or relaxed listenings like dimmerfoehn. – Richie Hawtin (Minus) downloaded for r hawtin – Markus Kavka (MTV Europe) ganz wunderbares, atmosphärisches album mit tollen sounds und grooves. sehr smart und dabei doch mit ganz viel herz. toll! – Metope (Areal, IRR, Beachcoma) (Metope) I like this very much. – Mikael Stavöstrand (Thema/Sunset Diskos) love it .. will play .. – Marc Lansley (Raveline/Sub Static) “Farou” is pure bliss. A jewel for my neckline. – Stephan Bodzin (Systematic) great album. love it. – Cio D’Or (Prologue) Doldrums & Dimmerfoehn are very beautiful! Thanks! – Sonja (Hexadance) insane beauty – love it! – Roko (Sub.fm/B.O.M.B.) soundin like very nice music all around, gonna have to check this in full to give proper comments! – Dustin Zahn (Enemy Records) its good to see an ep with total disregard for the trends. I like doldrums! – Gradient Magazine There’s really nothing else to say but a really well produced album – great music! – Vidal (Acid Circus/Droid Recordings) interesting stuff. n aschi will give airplay. – Sebastian Roya (Connaisseur) Awesome!! – Pig & Dan (Cocoon) Nice grooves and sounds for m broque as usual – DJ Fra (Nitsa) beautiful. – Piotr Nowicki (Laif/Creamfields Poland/Clubber.pl) Farou, Doldrums are among my favourites! – Bleed (De:Bug) review to follow – Raveline Williwaw ist my fave on the EP. Always charmed by their releases. – Dan Sykes (vivamusicstudios.com) Love Troniq and this is great – 2000 And One (100% Pure, Intacto) Downnload for 2000 and One. Thanks! – Daniel Mumbling Sanchez (Remote Area,Casbah rec!,) Nice deepness on doldrums, other tracks are good as well, nicely done by alec troniq and broque – Landschall wirklich sehr gut geworden. mal erfrischend anderst und keine sounds “von der stange”. mein lieblingstrack ist farou, hier wurde imho die beste balance zwischen monotoner struktur eines dancetracks und musikalischer farbigkeit getroffen! hatte viel spaß beim durch hören! – Axel Bartsch very nice release! doldrums is great. chapeau!! – jakeone [toob/process/flameboy] some nice sounding stuff here. downloading to give a proper listen. jake. – Madney Moon aka. – psycoded nice one. very deep and chilled stuff. get prepared for the so called “winter”. will play this stuff for shure! ;) – Tobias Henecker (ZYX) sehr gutes album! I have to tell you that i absolutely love it ALL track on it. Its really rare, but i think you got it all track in a beautifull huge picture whats so lovely. It very brings me from the first track to the last. NICE! Please drop to us a lots of great album much more like this!!!!! – Tim Susa Very nice tunes. Just turn on, tune in and dream away… – Anton Sever (Outstrip) Doldrums and Williwaw for me!

Antony Doria hails from a small town in the walloon part of Belgium named Andenne. His musical style is quite original as he makes use of all techno variants while producing music and combines them with vocals, scratches and a good amount of old school grooves. Antony produces electronic music since 5 years but just started releasing recently, for instance, on imprints such as Hypnotic Records or Communiqué but also contributing remixes for Gayle San, Woody McBride or Tim Taylor.
His Foretaste EP will be completed by Granlab – one of the Broque label chiefs – who contributes 2 remixes which prove once again what diverse musical talents he has to offer. Broque.de is very glad about a release which boasts energetic tracks with which allow us to let you go into the annual summer break with more than just a good conscience.

Its Granlab Rmx is darker again, but still with sort of a smiling attitude – great old-style point in the middle, love it! =) Good release, the dancefloor tracks will work! – Philipp Friedrich (On3 Radio) 1 – Techy! Another excellent release! I heavily dig both mixes of “Go Funk To The Rabbit”! Granlab never fails – be it deep & techy or with a splash of dubstep. Nice work!

Fresh stuff! – Diversions on chry105.5fm really diggin’ 2009 and me! – Tomas Barfod ( aka Tomboy, WhoMadeWho / Get Physical ) can’t play – Patrick Bateman (Tic Tac Toe / Connect Four) wasn’t feeling this one… – Dj Mag Italy done really well… massive! – Frequencies.it Yeah! Energic and original!!! – The-Zone.it the first track was good! so funky! – The Freaks Radio Go funk the rabbit is cool. -Eggbox (Aldente Records) Hey thanks for sharing, Very great music, Thanks a lots!!! – Alec Troniq 2009 and me” starts with a bracing groove and brings a zippy freshness! Its Granlab Rmx is an interesting, mysterious work. The next one is a mad one ;) This funked rabbit is really a coolish techno funk, like it! Nice work!
