Paul is a resident of Berlin. He began making music all the way back in 1992. Eight years later, after establishing his own label with Andre Galluzzi, Richie Hawtin licensed one of their tracks for his Plus 8 label. A number of releases and a few albums later (including 3 trip hop albums!) we find Paul in 2006. Releases on Music Man and Ostgut Ton followed, and he also teamed up with Anja Schneider to co-produce her releases for Mobilee. Its another exciting young talent that Paul teams up with on today’s release….

Cio D’Or’s musical roots can be traced back to her first steps, playing congas in a jazz band at the age of 17. From there the exploration of music took hold of her and soon she was spinning her own sets. In 1999 upon hearing one of those sets, Tobi Neaumann booked her for his Flokati party. Since then she has played and held residencies across the country and beyond. Cio dedicated herself to her musical studies and soon found herself sampling any new sound she could find. 2004 saw her debut release ‘Hokuspokus’ on Treibstoff, which went on to find massive DJ and chart support. Fr her co-productions she chooses her collegues according to their musical proximity and this has seen her team up with Gabriel Ananda on the hugely popular ‘Lauschgoldengel’, and today Paul Brtschitsch on their fantastic ‘Aroma EP’.

LP14 | max cavalerra – heile welt

The last record of the most busy Broque – artist is a long time ago, but the waiting been worth: “Heile Welt” (“ideal world”) is music for the end of the open air season at the beginning of autumn. The people are in the clubs again and tell about the warm months before. Emotional music, directly from the soul to the legs – to take the hands up again and again. The Munich based DJ Max Cavalerra is also well-known with his releases on Karmarouge Rec. and a lot more projects. There are two more splendid versions on this record: the Justin Sequence Remix by Gabriel le Mar and the Subsonic Park Beatless Remix by Gabriel le Mar and Alex Azary, together also known as 2/3 part of Aural Float. The surely target o the Justin Sequence Remix is the dancefloor with really nice mixed sounds in a compactly progressive wrap of a fine sound spectrum. The other version by Subsonic Park is very quiet, but handy floating. The track evokes the nights, you can’t zap while watching SpaceNight on TV.

Good Guy Mikesh is a 1man-pop&funk-show! There are many people waiting for a new record from him. And now he is surprising with something unexpected: a real raveslammer in his very own sound. It’s a cooperation with Filburt, who is also living in Lipsia. He is the maker of the Freezone record store and resident DJ of the “Conne Island” club.

There is also a crispy house-remix by Lars Sommerfeld on this record, who is usually releasing on TwoFaces, Fumakilla or Kurbel.

Map.ache is also a man behind the “Conne Island” club and presents us a fluid dub version.
And very very energetic: The track by Lucy & Rone (Meerestief, Parquet, Curle and of course Broque).

LP11 | juno6 – salamis

Juno6 is the pseudonym and the birthday of Stefan Schulz from Lipsia at the same time. He also complies with the analogue connotations of his name. Stefan likes to experiment between quiet IDM and straight Techno. Salamis is the great story about massive things happened a long time ago in the surrounding field of this island. The original version of the track tells us this monumentally story. Cio D’Or (Karmarouge, Treibstoff Cologne) presents us her skillfully deep and melodic version on the other site. And Steffen Bennemann (Distillery, 1bit-wonder Lipsia) makes with us another minimal trip after the battles.

LP10 | internal sync – song for dementia

Internal Sync are Jackspot and Calapez from Lisbon. They are releasing also on Datapunk, Klang Gymnastik and Kritik Records and the show will go on. The two guys have played in all major clubs in Portugal and will move to Berlin soon, to rock the clubs all over Europe.
Their sound is warm, melodic and absolutely for the floor. “Song for Dementia” has an uplifting monster-break and “Nova” spreads the party-flair of the south. Pelle Buys from Hamburg presents us his electric and melodic remix and Stefan Tretau performed in one night his fucking deep House-version.

As a small 12″-version we present on the 9. Broque – record 4 tracks, which you can also find in our big mp3-compilation which bears the same name. We begin with a dark techno-track of Norman from the famous Stammheim Club (Kassel), followed by the funny experimental “Schmetterling und Eskimo” (Butterfly and Eskimo) from More Places, a live-projekt of Less and Zweileen from Erfurt. The next track is by Max Cavalerra from Munich, who is a common figure in the Broque everyday life and who we must divide meanwhile with the gentlemen from Karmarouge. The Headbanger piece of “Francis” known from Einmaleins, has a long history and is a project of Jonny, Schmeisser and Der Tietz, also from Kassel.

LP08 | luciano pizzella – biomes

Luciano Pizzella comes from Naples and has just released a record on Italic. His “Biomes” is a pushing shuffle-track, which is kicking in extremely well, especially because of its simplicity. He is being remixed by the Swiss George Neufeld, who delivers a dubbing-fat Detroit version, and also by Karmarouge-Freshman Max Cavalerra, who adds a driving melody to it. Our man between Cologne and Munich Volker Selzner finishes up with a preceding “minimal-number”.

We meet with Stefan Tretau again, this time with his second Vinylrelease on Broque, an absolutely forward going Techno Tool. He was recently active also as a Remixer for Karmarouge. Agaric from Malmö, who is well-known with his high output and last but not least, his We are – series, was inspired by Tretau and created a small funky version. At the same time, Tim Xavier from New York, who released on Cocoon and who is better known from his labels LTD400, Klickhaus and Clink, is performing a driving monster machine. And as a sought bonus you’ll get the as an mp3 already highly demanded “Rue de Commerce”.

The Oder auf Brot Crew meets once a year at an alpine hut high in the mountains, in order to disturb the natural peace for an extended weekend. In 2006 Alessandro Crimi succeeded also in getting on the alm, in order to relive the mood of the weekend in his “after-hut”, as soon as he arrived home. Alessandro lives in St.Gallen [ CH ] and is already well-known from Italic, Giant&Dwarf, Stadtgruen and Broque.de. As a DJ he goes from club to club and convinces with his Sets which seem to be carved out of one piece. On the 12″ Broque nr.6 the Playhouser LoSoul, also an experienced alpine hut visitor, joins with an additional remix, as well as the Kickboxer/Safari-act Christian Quast, who also wanted to join us up there. As a bonus there is also Alessandros version of Christians “You are”, which was already a mp3-monster-track.

Max is well-known on Broque.de. But this man from Munich is also famous for his all night long sets as resident DJ at the Electric Delicate – clubnight. And maybe you know his releases actually on MB Selektions or sooner on Toneman, Parasound or Frisbee.
Pantha du Prince lives in Hamburg. His current Depeche Mode – Remix is heavy rotated. Many people likes his album last year and his new releases on Dial.
We think, we have 2 heroes of electronic music, who make together the fifth Broque.de-record to a really summer – tune!
